Dear yogis
October was so social for me, I went on a nature training in The art of ceremony, I got taken to Lisbon for a late 50 th birthday gift and then had a beautiful couple of days in Cornwall with a dear friend. I adore going to new places and seeing new things, meeting new people but am really ready to ground down now - how are you doing as we turn into a new month?Today I am holding space with a dear friend in deep woodland where we are gathering to honour our ancestors. So I have been baking and cooking and feeling gently tender. I miss the people that have passed so much. I feel tender and realising the preciousness of life.November is here, another month arrives. And just like that, the leaves changed, the temperature changed and the light changed. In the words of my nature teacher Brigitte McNeill - The light half of the year has come to a close, summer and springs fertile energy of growth and productivity has decayed away, the energy of the land is no longer geared towards outward displays. Instead, a soft wet darkness has taken hold and it is time for the energy of all wild ones, including human, to spiral inwards.
At this point on the wheel of the year, the natural world is making its shift from the living world to the Underworld. The growing season is over, and nature moves into the season of Death.
So right now, as the final things are dying off & the last leaves fall, we're in this liminal space. We're floating between the realms of the living & the Dead.
The door between these worlds is wide open: so the energy of death can come in & clear away the things that need to die.I'd love you to come to yoga...as the benefits are so many..it really is medicine of the highest degree.
I have moved my Monday night class to Tuesday ant 6.45 pm but the class is extremely quiet at the moment, it happens each year around this time as it gets cold and Christmas frenzy begins. The weather turns yucky and people don’t want to leave the house - but I promise you to create our own inner light in darker days is so needed. I’m making the classes as inviting and cosy as I can with the aroma of essential oils, candlelight and of course a lovely, friendly community you have helped to create.
A beautiful quote from the famous yogi Iyengar. Yoga is light, which once lit will never dim.The better you practice, the brighter the flame.” “Yoga allows you to rediscover a sense of wholeness in your life, where you do not feel like you are constantly trying to fit broken pieces together.”
I also offer my restorative practice on a Wednesday night in the comfort of your own home at 6.30 pm. Most people come with their pyjamas and roll into bed or relax after the class lots of gentle movement, yin and restorative poses poetry and pose. It's a very soothing class which nurtures your being.
Sunday mornings are a one hour Energising Gratitude flow at 10 am which is a wonderful way to start you day - which is held at the Aztec spa where you can use the spa facilities afterwards £5
Please come and support me and fill yourself up with Yoga love.
My winter wellness workshop is on the 30th of November where we will welcome in deep winter and all the magic that she brings. There will be nurturing yoga, sacred oils, gentle sound bath, journalling, ritual and time to connect with tea and cake . Welcoming in all that Winter brings.
I'm also offering my favourite New Year's workshop on Saturday 18 January 10.30 am - 1pm - Manifesting your best year yet. It will be a different vibe this year...I'm mixing it up - not so much journaling but holding a space for us to be reflective in a nurturing way to welcome in our New Year with clarity and commitment. It's a wonderful mindful way to bring in a New Year, to give yourself some time to really feel into how you want your year to be. We are so busy and on automatic pilot that we sometimes forget what lights our hearts and brings us joy. This workshop is an opportunity for you to really feel into what you really want for the year ahead.
Im also offering my divine bespoke holistic treatments tailored especially for your needs.i'll leave you with a little poem that touched my heart this week
Let's meet...
sometimes I remember
that we breathe the same air.
that we were born taking the same in-breath
and that we’ll all exhale
when we go.
perhaps in between those times
you and I could meet,
go for a walk,
have a drink.
share what’s important.
like
love,
touch,
kind eyes,
soft words
and
good music.
could we find time to do that,
before its too late..?
Love always , please let me know if you need anything - I'm always here for you.
Nina x
